Welcome to Everett Christian Counseling. My name is Shelley Bartels and I am committed to joining you on the path to a more satisfying, healthy and purposeful life. Together we can identify and meaningfully deal with frustrating patterns that are making life so hard. I like to work from a relational perspective because I believe our worst problems begin in relationship therefore it is in relationship that where hope and healing lie.

Perhaps you experience anxiety, worry or fear interfering with your regular activities. Or, maybe at times your depression, guilt or anger seems uncontrollable and you are wondering if it is possible to change. I see change occurring as we become aware of the frustrating patterns in life that lead to problems. Sometimes internal impulses, or unconscious thoughts or irrational emotions reflect hurtful experiences we have endured in the past. As we connect, I attempt to offer you an authentic, genuine and compassionate relationship. It is my hope that you will gain the tools and knowledge, insight and self awareness to construct new healthy patterns and ways of being in the world. I encourage, and at times lead my clients to walk down a different path, choosing new patterns and ways of relating.
